Under the project “Gramin Krishi Mausam Sewa (GKMS)”, ICAR
Research Complex for NEH Region, Tripura Centre in
collaboration with India Meteorological Department (IMD) is
rendering district level agromet advisory service based on
medium range weather forecast since
July, 1996 with the following major objectives: |

 To prepare district level Agromet
Bulletin
based on the forecast;
|
|
To
disseminate the bulletin to the farming community; |
|
To test & verify the forecast data; |
|
To send necessary weather data to IMD; |
|
To collect feed back from the
farmers to assess impact of bulletin. |
